Sangati Berga’s AMP Magnetic Pneumatic Separator has wide application in the magnetic decontamination of the most varied range of granular or powdery products.
Working in series with an electro-pneumatic bypass valve mounted on its output, which is supplied separately, the AMP allows for self-cleaning in a programmed and automated way by plant management.
In this way, the AMP Separator eliminates the need for operator access to clean the magnetic element thus preventing risks to operators and simplifying plant facilities.
The AMP Pneumatic Magnetic Separator removes from the product stream all ferromagnetic impurities such as screws, washers, metal fragments, wires, etc. that have accidentally entered the product, thus preventing fires, damage to the machinery or contamination of the product.
The AMP Pneumatic Magnetic Separator consists of a zig-zag duct, into which the product to be decontaminated flows. A magnetic plate, located externally, through a pneumatic control generates a magnetic field that retains all the ferromagnetic materials that were mixed to the product, not letting them follow the material that has been decontaminated.
Periodically, plant automation interrupts the product flow at the AMP input, switches a bypass valve located at its outlet to the discharge circuit and sends a signal to the AMP pneumatic control, which moves the magnetic plate away from its body, reducing the magnetic field and releasing the metallic impurities to flow through the disposal circuit, thereby performing the self-cleaning of the equipment.
After that, the magnetic plate returns to the body of the AMP, reestablishing the magnetic field, the by-pass valve switches back to the product circuit and the product flow inside the Separator is reopened, retaining all the ferromagnetic impurities contained therein.
The design and construction of AMP Pneumatic Magnetic Separator combines a reduced number of components to a body made of stainless steel and the application of permanent magnets, resulting in equipment of reduced maintenance and high durability.
