Its application, however, extends to all systems and products, whether granular or powdery, that require the in-flow removal of all ferromagnetic contaminants, such as screws, washers, metal fragments, wires, etc. that have accidentally entered the product, thus preventing fires, damage to machinery or contamination of the final product.
The AMP-B1 Pneumatic Magnetic Separator consists of a duct with an inclined plane, into which the product to be decontaminated flows. A magnetic plate placed externally against this duct by means of a pneumatic control generates a strong magnetic field that retains all the ferromagnetic materials that were mixed with the product, preventing them from going with the decontaminated material.
When the product flow is interrupted, the AMP-B1 Pneumatic Magnetic Separator pneumatically moves the magnetic plate away from its body, taking with it the metallic impurities which are automatically discharged into a disposal tray.
The magnetic plate then moves back towards the body of the AMP-B1, re-establishing the magnetic field of the separator, which will once again retain all the ferromagnetic impurities contained therein.
