With its modern design, this dosing system is an advantageous and advanced instant dosing and weighing system, which takes place simultaneously with the flow of product being processed. The GRAVITON weigh feeder consists of a stainless steel metal box, into which the flow of product to be measured flows; a valve and a measuring unit, consisting of a weighing pan and electronic equipment for controlling and programming the feeder.
The opening of the valve, controlled by an electric servomotor, promotes the flow of product that flows over the weighing pan; this, through a system of decomposition of forces (vertical resultant) that is corrected in due course by the electronic equipment and compared here with the pre-selected flow, determines the flow of product and therefore instantaneous production.
Under normal conditions, the valve never reaches maximum opening: when this happens, it means that the quantity of product is not sufficient to guarantee production and therefore an alarm signal will be given. If there is no power, the valve closes automatically, preventing the flow of product.
The servomotor, equipped with a universal terminal block, can be mounted quickly and directly onto the valve shaft and secured using an anti-twist bar. The valve can be operated manually and locked in any position.
Unlocking is done manually or automatically by applying the supply voltage.
