Rice burnish process is carried out by the use of appropriate machinery, endowed with special spinning abrasive surfaces. The rice grit loses its last covering, removing the bran: thus, is produced the commercial rice and the bran as a byproduct.
The Vertical Dry Rice Polisher model SBR-SV, idealized by Sangati Berga consists of three main parts: the external hull (fixed), the rotor and the motorization. The raw material enters from above and it is dosed by the use of a lever manual control. Successively, it is equally distributed through a screw shifted to the higher level (position) of the rotor and, and before its unloading by the distributor, it must go through a series of abrasive spinning stones, going through them and the metallic screen properly perforated in order to hinder the rice, thanks to an external fan which sets under depression the entirely structure of the machine.
In order not to drastically diminish the pressure inside the machine structure, the point of exit is endowed with a regulating valve, that is kept closed due to a counterweight until it is overwhelmed by the product weight.
